About this piece
This illustration is an explosion of colors colliding and creating millions of microscopic nuances. From a distance, the expression appears unified, but as you dive into the details, color combinations emerge that you never thought possible.
Jobbe Pilgaard: “When I was a child, I would often lie in bed late at night, gazing up at the night sky. The Big Dipper, up there, high in the darkness, seemed to look down at me — making me wonder what it would be like to sit in it; in the cart, on the way toward dreams. The universe is as infinite as a child’s dreams of the future. And the only thing that can match the grandeur of the galaxies is our shared hope for a better world for the generations to come.”
