About this piece
In life, we sometimes have to walk paths that are ours alone. No one walks them with us. But as the saying goes, at the end of the rainbow, there is gold. And the gold at the end of these paths is often that we find a more authentic and true version... of ourselves.

"This photograph is definitely one of the most meaningful to me.
In the fall of 2019, I traveled alone around Asia. It had been a difficult time because my mother had been very sick, and I was at a place in life where I wasn't entirely sure which direction I should go.
When I look back at that trip, there is no doubt that it was here that I found the path I should walk... the creative one. It was on this trip that I truly understood that we only live once – and it’s about living it as authentically as possible.
Therefore, this photograph symbolizes for me that we ALL have to find our own path to walk... there are no paths that aren't beautiful... the beauty lies in finding your own way... and walking it with the bumps that come along.
Many of you have asked who took the picture, since I was alone. And I completely understand. I must admit, it’s one of those moments where I risked my camera being stolen. I placed it about a hundred meters from the stairs and then started walking towards it... and unfortunately... even though my heart was pounding, I felt the result was worth the risk."
