Springtime in My Heart

Few things on Mother Earth can match the breathtaking beauty of the butterfly. With a light elegance, it floats through a spring day in pursuit of the next place to sip life's nectar. However, it is not a flight without turbulence for this small, vulnerable insect. Each spring, fewer and fewer pupae hatch.

A butterfly's enchanting visit becomes increasingly rare. A magical, fleeting moment that always leaves us spellbound and dreaming fades away as we expand and the butterfly's natural habitat disappears. The artwork "Springtime in My Heart" consists of 25 unique butterflies. From colorful and vibrant to worn-out and colorless. The work symbolizes the stuffed butterfly, as we know it: behind glass, framed, and hanging on a white wall. Lifeless and devoid of the magic dust from when it was alive outside the glass. Thus, the artwork also symbolizes how our descendants may never experience a moment with spring in their hearts as this unique insect flutters by. A moment of fragile magic. A moment where a dream awakens. A moment worth preserving.

Just as the butterfly has left us for all eternity. The beauty of the world would be lost forever if we do not make an effort to preserve biodiversity from its demise.
