About this artwork
Among the classical elements, earth is the hardest. Yet, there is no place where the force of earth is not met by water. The combination of these two elements is the condition for all life on our planet. This photograph is a tribute to our shared home and a perpetual reminder of how small we humans are.
This photograph was taken on Suðuroy, the southernmost island of the Faroe Islands.
