About this piece
On Slotsholmen in Copenhagen, King Christian IV built one of Copenhagen's most iconic buildings in the 1620s, the Stock Exchange – complete with its distinctive Dragon Spire. The building served as a commodities exchange for centuries, with bustling market stalls. The spire features four dragons, whose tails entwine around each other. At the top, three crowns stand, symbolizing the union of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

Poetry
The poem featured in this piece was written by Hans Pilgaard.
